Electricity Infographic

– Electricity –

A visual cheat sheet about electrical physics, containing the most important formulas of current and Ohm’s law expressed through an impossible water circuit analogy.

Electric current is invisible and the processes at play in electronics are often difficult to understand. Electricity (as well as heat) was originally understood to be a kind of fluid, and the names of certain electric quantities (such as current) are derived from hydraulic equivalents. In this infographic the various electronic principles are visualized inside an hydraulic analogy. As with all analogies, it demands an intuitive and competent understanding of the baseline paradigms (electronics and hydraulics).

This infographic has been published inside the book The Best American Infographics 2016 and has revieced the “Visually Staff Pick” mention from at Visual.ly, the bigges  online community about data visualization.

This work has recieved and is recieveing a lot of attention on the internet. I’ve had the pleasure to see it shared by many people and organizations.
